Maya Abdominal Massage
Based on traditional techniques learned and adapted by Dr Rosita Arvigo during her ten-year apprenticeship with Mayan Healer Don Elijio, the massage is a specific, localised, non-invasive and external therapy for reproductive health and digestion.
The massage is ideal when looking at ways to support your fertility & reproductive wellness - for natural conceptions, IUI or IVF support, preparation for donor egg cycles, and miscarriage management. Also consider for fibroids, prolapse, endometriosis and associated adhesions & scarring, chronic urinary tract infections, painful periods, cervical stenosis and cervical scarring, and pain during intercourse.
And think about all the organs in your pelvis and abdomen. Not only your uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes and bladder, but also your small and large bowel, stomach, lymph nodes, pancreas. The massage is fantastic at supporting digestive function, and is recommended for reflux, bloating, constipation, IBS, SIBO and detox support.
The abdomen is also where many of us hold our anxiety, stress and grief. Old wounds and traumas and current stresses like to sit here - that knot in your stomach you might feel. The massage is a wonderful and gentle way to release emotional congestion and blockages, and ground yourself through the womb.
‘I honour the place in you
in which the entire Universe dwells.
I honour the place in you
which is of love, of light, of truth and of peace.
When you are in that place in you
and I am in that place in me,
we are one.
Namaste.’
